Especially in old buildings there are often unevennesses in the floor, sloping or even humped walls and ceilings. Therefore, always measure the height and width in 3 places and choose the smallest dimension in each case.

Tip: To determine unevenness you can take a spirit level or a taut string to help you.

If you are planning ceiling-high furniture and want to assemble it lying down and then erect it, you should ensure a certain distance from the ceiling.

To make the most of your space and create the perfect alcove unit, we recommend that you assemble your unit standing up so that you don't need the safety distances mentioned.

Always plan a buffer for niche and built-in furniture, to guarantee a problem-free assembly. For furniture under 250 cm in width, we recommend a general 2 cm buffer. To allow oversize furniture over 250 cm in width, boards are divided. Therefore, we recommend a buffer of 7 cm for the assembly of the divided boards for furniture over 250 cm in width. Measure the width of the niche in different places, for example, at the bottom in the middle and at the top, to determine the smallest niche dimension. If you are unsure about the niche dimension and buffer, contact our design service. We will be happy to help you.

If you have baseboards, measure their height and depth as well and enter them in the 3D configurator under Dimensions: Baseboard/Floor.

Consider objects such as light switches, sockets or other installations on the wall, for optimal positioning of the shelves.

Please note for doors and flaps that there can be two different hinges. For doors, make sure that the door opening is not placed in the direction of a corner or wall. In the case of flaps, it is advisable to open the flap downwards in the case of low flaps and upwards in the case of high flaps. This way you can open the door or flap easily and make ideal use of the compartment behind it.

Make sure to allow enough space for your TV and TV equipment all around. For large TV furniture, please make sure that the shelf for the TV is wide enough so that the lateral verticals do not restrict the field of vision.

Tip: It happens that behind the devices plugs stand out, plan in the case 4 - 5 cm more in depth.

Always include an additional buffer of 1 cm in height and width between the device and the inner compartment for your media devices. In this way, you can ensure the necessary minimum distance for ventilation of your valuable devices. If necessary, follow the recommendations of the device manufacturer regarding the necessary spacing dimensions.

In order to plan your perfect unique piece of TV furniture, we recommend that you make a plan of your device connections. It is important that you keep in mind the position of the sockets and the cable length of your devices, so that you can ideally plan the necessary position of the cable cutouts in the furniture. In the case of wall-mounted TVs, it is also important to ensure that the distance between the furniture and the TV is harmonious, or to take into account the space for a surface-mounted soundbar.

Think in advance how many people should sit at your table. Calculate 50 - 70 cm of seating space per person.

When choosing the table height, make sure to leave enough space for your legs. We recommend a distance of about 30 cm between the seat height and the table top.

Desks: A height of 72 cm is the standard dimension. However, you can also realize other heights with us. Make sure that you add about 30 cm to the seat height to have enough legroom.
